Move Flexcil data to another device and OS
You can move Flexcil data to Flexcil on another device or another OS in the following two ways.
1. Moving data via Flexcil Backup File (.flex)
This way you can move all user data in Flexcil in complete form, including links between documents.
In the Flexcil app settings > Backup, select Data Backup.
Select the documents or folders you want to move, then tap [Backup].
Are you getting the message “There are documents where reference links will be lost.”?
Flexcil backup file (.flex) is created and the sharing window is displayed.
Share (export) your backup files via cloud storage and more.
Download the above backup file(.flex) on another device.
iOS: Download via cloud connection, file, AirDrop or more.
Android: Download it from Flexcil Settings > Backup > Restore.
Select Restore Data from Flexcil App Settings > Backup.
Select the backup file to restore and the path to restore, then restore it.
2. Moving data through document export(share) (lab feature)
This method may cause cross-document links to disappear or some transformation of the annotation data.
Select the document you want to move by long-pressing it in the Flexcil file manager.
Select the Share button at the top of the screen.
Select 'Original PDF' from the document export options and choose Export.
You can specify whether to include textboxes, images, handwriting data, and document backgrounds.
Share (export) above document files via cloud storage and more.
On other instruments, enable Flexcil Settings > Lab Features > 'Import PDF Annotations in Editable Format' option.
You can specify whether highlighter & underline, handwriting, image (stamp), and textbox data can be edited individually.
Download the PDF above on your other device.
