The masking pen function helps you efficiently memorize desired parts of documents or notes by covering them up.
Flexcil's masking pen feature goes beyond simply covering documents; it allows you to check correctness and measure accuracy.
You can activate the masking pen in the pen options.
After tapping the + icon in the pen toolbar, select the masking pen by clicking the rightmost icon, then press the button at the bottom to add the masking pen to the pen toolbar.
Alternatively, if the pen icon is already active, you can select the masking pen icon after tapping the pen icon once more to change the registered pen to a masking pen.
Using the Masking Pen to Cover Documents
You can use the masking pen to cover the content of documents. To cover the content of a document, simply activate the masking pen and draw a line over the area you want to cover, just like using a pen.
Using the Gesture Pen
For documents with text recognition, you can easily select and neatly cover text using the gesture pen.
To use the gesture pen, make sure the icon in the pen toolbar is in the state on the far left.
If the icon is not displayed as shown above, please tap it once more to change it to the state.
In gesture mode, select the text and then tap the masking pen in the popup that appears.
Using the Straight Line Pen Option
When the masking pen is active, you can tap the masking pen icon once more to access pen options. In the pen options, activate the "Straight line" option to draw the masking pen neatly.
Using Long Touch
When using the masking pen and keeping the pen pressed without releasing it, it will automatically transform into a straight line. This allows you to draw straight lines conveniently.
Precautions
- If you use the masking pen in a location where other objects such as handwriting, highlighter, or text have been input, the masking pen will always be positioned on top.
- While the masking pen is active, you cannot use the shape correction tool.
- When exporting a document, the masking pen is not included.
- When synchronizing and backing up data, the masking pen is also included, ensuring that the data is preserved.
Masking Pen Annotations During Recording
Annotations made with the masking pen during recording are also synchronized, and masking pen annotations are played back along with voice data.
