Audio recording and syncing

Flexcil supports the audio recording and syncing feature and lets users record audio while taking handwritten notes or inputting text.

This feature helps your effective study.

If you annotate while recording audio, audio recordings are linked to your annotations and you can see what you annotate when playback.

You can identify the document with audio recording by the icon.

How to start

Press icon at the top right side of the document viewer to start recording.

※ You need to allow access to the microphone of your device when initial use

How to stop the audio recording

To stop the recording, press  icon at the top right side of the document viewer.

How to restart the audio recording

To restart recording, press icon at the top right side of the document viewer.

If you restart the recording, the recording file will be saved as a separate file.

※ You can record up to 6 hours for each recording

How to playback the recording

Press icon on the right side of the microphone icon and open the play bar.

You can playback your recording by pressing the play icon on the left side.

If you play the audio, the linked annotation will also be played.

• If you press the annotation in gesture mode, you will be able to jump to the linked part of the audio.
• If you press the icon at the far right side of the play bar, you can jump to the linked annotation.

How to change the name of the recording

Method 1

1. Swipe left on the list where you want to change the name.
2. Press icon.
3. A pop-up will show up. Enter the name and press OK.

Method 2

1. Press icon at the top right side of the recording list.
2. Select the recording by pressing icon on the left side.
3. Press icon.
4. A Pop-up will show up. Enter the name and press OK.

How to delete the recording

Method 1

1. Swipe left on the list where you want to delete.
2. Press icon.
3. A pop-up asking if you delete the file permanently will show up.
4. Press the Delete button to delete.

Method 2

1. Press icon at the top right side of the recording list.
2. Select the recordings by pressing icon on the left side. You can delete multiple files at once by selecting them.
3. Press icon.
4. A pop-up asking if you delete the file permanently will show up.
5. Press the Delete button to delete.

Share the recorded file

Method 1

1. Swipe left on the list where you want to share.
2. Press icon.
3. Select the app or service where you want to export the file.

Method 2

1. Press icon at the top right side of the recording list.
2. Select the recordings by pressing icon on the left side. You can select and share multiple files at once.
   ※ If you share multiple files, the files will be exported as a compressed file(.zip)
3. Press icon.
4. Select the app or service where you want to export the file.

Audio recording options

You can set the options by pressing icon.

You can also set options in the settings (press icon and go Audio/Recording menu)

Change play speed

You can set the play speed as 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x

Other options

You can set more options in the Detailed Options menu(iOS) / by pressing icon(Android).

The following options are set enabled as default.

Multi-document Audio Sync

• Option enabled: You can sync and playback annotations that you annotated on the document in the pop-up viewer or other document tabs as well.
• Option disabled: You can only sync and playback annotations that you annotated on the document in the main viewer.

Sync Notes During Playback

• Option enabled: Newly added annotations while playback will be synced with recorded audio.
• Option disabled: Newly added annotations while playback will not be synced with recorded audio.

Note Replay

• Option enabled: Annotations will also playback when playing the recorded audio.
• Option disabled: Only audio will be played when playback.
