You can move data on Flexcil to another device by following the methods below.
Move data via Flexcil Backup File (.flex)
You can move all of your data in Flexcil in complete form, including links between documents.
- Press the Settings icon at the bottom left side of the file manager.
- Go to the Backup menu and press the Backup button.
- Select the document(s) or folder(s) which you want to move and press the Backup button at the top right.
- A backup file(.flex) will be created and share options will be popped up.
- Select where you want to send the backup file.
- Download the backup file from the place where you sent the backup file.
- iOS: You can download the backup file directly from the cloud storage by connecting cloud storage, bring the file from the Files menu on the left side of the file manager, by Airdrop, etc.
- Android: You can download the backup file from the Files menu on the file manager's left side or directly from the restore menu.
- Press the Settings icon at the bottom left side of the file manager.
- Go to the Backup menu and press the Restore button.
- Select the backup file and designate the path.
- Press the Restore button at the top right to restore the data.
The message “There are documents where reference links will be lost.” is popped up when backup
Move data by exporting document(s)
If you move your data by exporting document(s), reference link(s) will disappear and some annotations may be broken.
- Long press on the document that you want to move to another device. You can also select the document(s) by enabling the editing mode by pressing the icon at the top right.
- Select the Share button(iOS: Android: ) at the top right side.
- Select Original PDF on the export options and press the Export button at the top right.
※ You can choose if you contain textboxes/images/handwriting/background by enabling options - Share options will be popped up. Select where you want to send the document(s).
※ If multiple documents are exported, the file will be compressed (.zip). In case of this, you should decompress the file before importing. - Open Flexcil app on another device.
- Press the Settings icon at the bottom left side of the file manager.
- Go to the Lab Features menu and enable Import PDF with the editable annotations option.
- Enable/disable options if you edit Highlight & Underline/Drawing/Image(Stamp)/Textbox of imported document(Default setting: All enabled)
- Download the document.
- iOS: You can download the backup file directly from the cloud storage by connecting cloud storage, bring the file from the Files menu on the left side of the file manager, by Airdrop, etc.
- Android: You can download the backup file from the Files menu on the file manager's left side or directly from the backup menu.
